Just a friendly reminder that club membership fees are now due for 2010/2011. Membership remains at the recession busting £10.

Please get your fees to me by 20th August.

I will have a few stickers at this months club night but if you have any special requests for colours or anything let me know,

The annual show ‘n’ shine has had to be cancelled due to a lack of running cars! We will still be meeting as usual for dinner and drinks.

We’re holding a competition to design the club flag. The winner will have their design turned into a flag for us to use at our events and when we’re camping at shows.

The dimensions of your flag need to be approx 2.2m high by 72cm wide.

Stickers of the club logo are now available. You can choose pretty much any colour and size you want. A standard size 6″ by 6″ square would set your back the pricey sum of £1.50.

If you’d like one just let Darren Neely know and he’ll get one to you at club night or in the next newsletter.

this is the  best place i have found for parts its called millotane its in bedford its a small garage owned but the same two guys since back in the day they are a specialist air cooled establishment have been working on beetles and all makes of vws for years i canot praise these guys enough most parts can be colected the same day if orderd befor 12 they do mots servising mechanical repair not shure about body work and welding i dont think soo although u can buy repaire pannels they have never been beeten on price atleast on the parts i have bought they also have a selection of second hand parts that are a bit cheeper im trying to rangle a club discount but im not shure if ill be able to but we will see

i found this plan for a card model of a beetle on the net and i thought we could hav a go at makeing them and customising them i thought it would be a giggle  best one as voted for by the group wins an easter egg or suming idk let me know if u have any ideas or if u think this is a good idea ?
