Stevenage Volkswagen Club

i found this plan for a card model of a beetle on the net and i thought we could hav a go at makeing them and customising them i thought it would be a giggle  best one as voted for by the group wins an easter egg or suming idk let me know if u have any ideas or if u think this is a good idea ?

beetles must be indistructable !

i had to move a donar beetle today, the only way i could do this was to start the car and drive it to my house a few hundred yards away sounds simple enough apart from it hadn’t started in 8 years and to look at it u would think it would never start again lol

However after “borrowing” a battery from my dad i discoverd to my amazement that its ignition system was still in good working order or so i thought … because  turning the key to the point that would normaly turn over the engine for some reason made the window wipers switch on lol made me chuckle after examining the wireing loom i found that two wires had been swaped, easy fix just swaped them back tried it again and it turned over with no trouble. However it still didn’t start so i had a cup of coffee sat staired at it pondered the problem and eventually asked my dads opinion on why it might not be starting to which his sarcastic and rather cuttting response was “cars run on petrol you know” needless to say i felt rather stupid … so after sulking of to the petrol station to get some fuel and fashoning a funnel from from a tractor magazine left in the glove box by the previouse owner to get the fuel in the tank i poured a little down the carb turned the key and would you belive it started on the first revolution ran sweet as a nut could not belive it. the drive up the road was quite the experiance as well i was so exited that it was running i decided to not risk turning it off so i hoped in and started towards my house, put ma foot on the clutch thought ” yer good near the bottom  gear box bit stodgy but gears are easy to find got trottle responce right off we go”  got going a bit got to the skerdge of all lowerd beetles a speed bump no problem i thought i’ll just use the brakes put my foot on the brakes and herd a hiss but i didn’t slow down in shock and dismay i pressed it again same hiss but no reduction in speed by now i’m about to hit the bump so i grapped the handbrake and yanked it up and thank god that worked XD other than that it’s a lovely drive it’s better then my good beetle lol annoyingly

just driven my beetle for the first time ! not far lol only out the drive and down the privet estate out the back of my house to turn it round, but that doesnt matter it was sooo coooooooool ! ! ! i mean shure all four tyers are a bit soft … ok compleatly flat and the timings out so it wasnt as smooth as i would hav liked and there was the odd back fire but that doesnt matter it was the most fun ive had all week ! if i hadent of already caught the beetle bug i would now b a happy convert !

Looks unlikely that the Badger will make it to Action this year, the chassis is now slightly bent, this video might explain why!

This is cool.  I must admit it looks absolutely horrible but very clever.
